The Tennessee Smokies lost to the Rocket City Trash Pandas 8-2 on Tuesday night.
The story of the game was Victor Mederos (2-2) for Rocket City (17-16) who pitched eight innings and only allowed one earned run against the Tennessee (19-15) offense.
The Trash Pandas picked up 14 hits in the game and tagged Brandon Birdsell (2-3) for eight hits and four earned runs. Gustavo Campero was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in.
Tennessee's offense was highlighted by a Pablo Aliendo home run.
The two teams will meet again on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
