The Scottsboro High School swim teams continued their winning ways Thursday evening.

Scottsboro posted a sweep of visiting Westminster Christian, Guntersville and Madison County at the Rec*Com. In the team’s rematch with Westminster Christian, the SHS girls triumphed 57-20 while the boys were victorious by a score of 48-29.

On the girl’s side, winners were Kate Coleman (100-yard Freestyle), Hannah Altonji (100-yard individual medley), Jessica Duncan (200-yard Freestyle), Mary Catherine Gossett (50-yard Breaststroke) and Kyla Reichle (50-yard Backstroke). 

The boys were paced by Zach Reichle’s sweep of the 50 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke and Mark Richard’s victory in the Fly.

Top-three finishers for the Wildcats included Katharyn Sanders, Kyle Vosen, Jacob Flores and Alex Herbst.

Among the Scottsboro swimmers posting personal-best times were Brooklyn Chapman, Maddy Childress, Alexis Dawson, Alyssa Hunter, Emily McCormack, Bailey McLaughlin, Claire Megehee, Charli O’Brien, She Reuter, Anna Richard, Debbie Sanders, Stephanie Sanders, Cheyenne Vincent, Richard Campbell, Jonathan Kurz, Jacob Megehee, Skylar Overby, Tony Pereira, Will Rogers, Tristan Rollins and Holden Wynn.

Scottsboro will put its undefeated dual meet record on the line Thursday when it takes on defending North Alabama High School Swim League champion Huntsville in a double-dual meet at Alabama A&M.
