ROUNDUP: Plainview girls down Ider

Abigail Hampton finished with 18 points and eight steals Thursday night and led Plainview High School’s girls basketball team past host Ider 66-34.

The Lady Bears led 8-4, 29-11 and 55-29 at the quarter breaks.

Destiny Lowden closed with 14 points, six steals and four assists for the Lady Bears, and Olivia Graham added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Bailee Smith grabbed 10 boards.

TUESDAY

Plainview 56,

Sylvania 28

At Rainsville, Lowden made 7-of-8 free throws and closed with 32 points for Plainview in the 3A, Area 11 game. She sank three 3-pointers and also contributed four steals.

The Lady Bears led 18-6, 36-14 and 52-22 at the quarter breaks.

Graham added eight points and five rebounds. Lacee Kirk pulled down six boards.

Lauren King scored nine points for Sylvania (4-7, 0-2).

Collinsville 56,

Gaylesville 23

At Collinsville, Trinity Garner paced the Lady Panthers with 18 points in the 1A, Area 10 matchup.

Collinsville (2-6, 1-2) enjoyed leads of 14-6, 25-12 and 41-22 at the quarter breaks.

Savannah Boyles added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners, who also got nine points from Sydney Jones.

Douglas 51,

Crossville 46

At Douglas, Brianna Farris scored 23 points for Douglas in the 4A, Area 12 game.

The Lady Eagles outscored the Lady Lions 25-17 in the final quarter. Crossville (4-7, 1-2) led 22-18 at halftime. Douglas enjoyed a 14-9 edge after one quarter.

Jaycie Bobo had 10 points for Crossville. Mattie Lacey added eight, and Macy Smith pulled down eight rebounds.
