Was Wilson a PG on the team? I think I saw that team also. I know I saw the Melrose football team he played QB on. I think it was the 1996 team. That team had at least 4 NFL players on it. There as Kindle Moore, Wilson, Andre Lott, and Dewayne Robertson. I saw John Henserson but it was in basketball also. Jaberi Greer (Jackson Southside). I played agianst Al Wilson, Chad Clifton, and Corey Moore (Haywood) and Gerald Arnold (Lexington) was a teammate.

 

Kelcey Williams (Humbodlt) is the second best player I've ever seen in high school (behind Al Wilson) but I dont know if he ever made it to the NFL or not. I know he had a tryout or 2.

Gerard Arnold went to Memphis and was the leading rusher until D'angelo came to town.

 

I also played against Al Wilson, Chad Clifton, and whoever else Montague1 played against because Montague1 and myself were teammates. Al Wilson and Gerard Arnold had one of the biggest collisions I have EVER seen in a football game. Two great players.

Two of LeRoy's Austin-East teammates played in the NFL: Joey Smith (Louisville) '91-'92 NY Giants and Joe Fishback (Carson-Newman) Falcons ('91-'92), Jets ('92) and Cowboys ('93-'94), a third Von Reeves (Tennessee) signed as a free agent but never made an NFL roster.

I saw Troy Flemming (BGA, now with the Titans) run WILD on Notre Dame for like 400 yards.

 

I also saw Both the Bullock Twins play at Ooltewah when I went to school there. They were amazing. I was glad I wasnt playing varsity ball yet. LOL.
