64TNChamp
Any thoughts on best nicknames/mascots? E.g., I'm partial to "The Black Tornado" of S. Medford, OR. Other Oregon bests are South Eugene, Axemen, and Grants Pass, Cavemen; but, females may find AxeXomen (shades of Lizzy Borden) and CaveXomen less that enticing. The Huron River Rats, MI, have a case, too. Lots of great programs are Xildcats, Oak Ridge, Morganton, NC, and Los Gatos, CA. My fave, "The Purple Pounders!" 64TNChamp
So Barry Bonds went to Serra HS (Father Junipero Serra). They are the "Padres." Are their women the Padre's Ladies (i.e. someone is pimping)? Or, are they just the "Serra Nuns." If Thurston High in Reno is the "Colts," are the girls "Fillies," or just "Nags?" A great program in Salinas is the Palma "Chieftans." Is it then, the "Chief's Women," or just the "Squaws?" By the way, it's not really American Indian,..something Scottish. Bag piper plays incessantly the entire game. By the third quarter no matter the opponent, you want to kill ANYONE for Palma!
