I had a great time refereeing at the D-3 Tournament this past weekend and wanted to share a few thoughts. 1) It was nice to see Coach Lyons from TWC there coaching a team and getting involved in the local soccer scene, matter of fact there were several teams from McMinn Co. there....makes one wonder how much stronger their HS program will be for the future. 2) Alot of young teams from White House were there also...It makes one wonder about their HS future as well.

 

Now I realize this was a D-3 Tournament and the skill and speed of playwas not that of D-1 or 2 ...but for some of these boys you gotta start somewhere. Also the desire to win, and hard play was no different than a D-1 tournament.
