Will this change anyones opinion on him?

Slightly surprised, but nothing really surprises you much anymore about the steroid issue in baseball. I think if you were a true A-Rod fan (are there any of these /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ), it would be a big deal. But otherwise, it's just another in a long line, just one who happens to be a superstar.

If this story doesn't linger very long past spring training (and there is that chance since he admitted it), he will probably play long enough that this will become a distant memory to most. Now when and if he gets ready to break HR record, then this issue will probaby be brought back up. If Bonds had admitted use and had not broken the HR record, very few would care now. If Clemens had just shut up and let it blow over, not many people would care now.

Hall of fame also becomes a question. Some are already being shunned because of steroid use. When Bonds and Clemens become eligible, were they good enough to overcome the juice issue. Arod may be far enough in the future and good enough that enough people will overlook the "3 years in Texas". Who knows?
