South Pittsburg = 18

Sequatchie County = 12

 

Sequatchie jumped out to an early lead returning a SP fumble around 50-60 yards for the score to lead 6-0. South Pittsburg goes ahead in the second quarter for a 12-6 halftime lead. Neither team could get much going in the second half until late in the 4th quarter Sequatchie drives half the field and punches it in on 4th & goal from the 2 with under a minute remaining the 2 point pass was no good leaving the score tied at 12-12.

 

South Pittsburg takes over after the kick around there own 40 yard line. A couple of quick plays later and a long run that puts them out of bounds around the 25 with around 20 seconds remaining but a facemask penalty gets it around the 15 yard line and South Pittsburg scores on pass with 13 seconds left the receiver catching the ball with three SCMS defenders around him. The 2 point try was stopped short of goal line.
