Coach Jackson needs to be hired. He cares for the kids and at this point they need someone to come in and do right by them.

New coach recently hired getting out already? Must be a mess.

If it were just a little bit better, it would be a mess. As is, its a dysfunctional hierarchy of over paid central office personel that have little or no ties to the actual county or its taxpayers. They are doing everything possible to inject faculty, administration, and now coaching positions with like people so as to have no one to answer to.

There was a vote from a panel just 20 days ago on Thursday 5/2/13. The panel consisted of 8 people: Barrow, Wenning, Batson, Kinnard, Boyd, Gibbs, O'Neill, and Batts. It was 2 administrators, 2 central office personel, 2 educators at the school, and 2 parents of football players at the school. The panel's final results weren't in favor of former head football coach Jack Jakobik. The final tally was 4-3-1 in favor of Michael Jackson. Eric Hatley finished next in line followed by Jakobik. The Director of Schools, Dr. Curtis, had the final word and overruled the panel's choice when he hired Jack Jakobik on Friday 5/3/13. Today was the final day of school and Friday will be graduation day for the senior class that just led the way to the football program's greatest season of all-time. No more time can be wasted as football season is just 13 weeks away from kicking off and there still isn't a coach in place.

Thanks,Lost a good coach and man. Hope a good guy replaces him. Hate seeing things like this for kids. That should be what it is all about. Best wishes to new coach and football program.

I would have pegged Cheatham County more as a Country Music fan base, but nothing wrong with a little Jackson Five every now and then either.
