bbb
For the first time since the McCallie and Baylor rising seniors were probably too young to spell f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l, the 2014 McCallie-Baylor football game (Fri. Oct. 3) will be played at McCallie’s Spears Stadium. McCallie football coach Ralph Potter wants a true home game. The Blue Tornado players are excited to play Baylor on campus. “The players are excited about playing the game on campus and playing the Baylor game every other year at Finley Stadium was nice, but it wasn’t a true home game,†said coach Potter. The oldest football rivalry in the state - first game played and won by McCallie in 1905 - has had the game played at various locations in Chattanooga including Spears Stadium and Alumni Field (at McCallie), Rike Field and Heywood Stadium (at Baylor), Finley Stadium, Chamberlain Field and Andrews Field. contact B.B Branton at [email protected] Edited February 23, 2014 by bbb
BigDave1967
High School games(and College also) are better when they're played in the home stadiums.
