tradertwo
Any word on names that have surfaced from these applicants? There's a couple or three that most would recognize, but they requested that their names not be made public unless they were among the final interviewee's, and the process isn't to that stage...none that would be shockers. There have been inquiries from some who haven't applied yet too... Edited April 7, 2014 by tradertwo
thenewguy85
Did Coach Hicks take the Lexington coaching job
PrestigeWorldwide
According to the Jackson Sun, he did. Congrats to Coach Hicks. He will will work hard and push those players. As a first year head coach, he'll have a learning curve but I think he'll do a good job.

tradertwo
He does have a very good big man to work withLots of upside this season in Tigertown...if Hicks can gain the respect of his players and tone down their tendency to showboat, and just play sound, fundamental basketball they will be very hard to send home come playoff time, but too many players have a superstar complex, who just aren't that good. Funny thing is...Marshall is one of the few who just wants to be as good as he can be and win whether he stands out personally or not. Guard play will determine how far Lexington advances...the back line is solid, post play is good, D is good, and small forward can shoot or post. May have to lose some early while enforcing his philosophy to win more late.
dhstennis
hicks was at liberty, then jcs when they turned their program around and at humboldt...if those boys in lexington dont follow his leadership they wont stand a chance...it seems all he knows is winning so it should transition just fine to the tigers with SS losing their top 2 players 14AA and region 7 is the tigers to lose

He will have a great team this year but what about the next 5 years.
