The Warts have been really really bad the last cuple years. Why?? They are the biggest school in morgan county. They must had a good coach when I played cuz we couldnt ever beat them, but my Tigers finally got em this past year. I think we will get em again this year? 

 

My question is with the talent at that school why are they no good? I truly believe coaching is bad there is talent, there coach just cant get it out of em. dont get me wrong there not alot of talent. Bad coaching plus litlle talent=My Tigers will get em again this year easy.

Well your right the talent is not that bad. Wartburg had a decent core group of kids. Their major problem is they made the worst coaching hire in the history of Morgan County. The man they hired as their head coach could not win if he had Grace Christians talent. He not only is a bad coach but he treats his kids like they are second rate talent as well and the kids cannot stand him. People say oh he hasn't had the talent poor little guy. I say bull crap he had a ton of talent his first year with a good group of kids, but he was so busy playing suck up he forgot to take care of his players and his team. He could have made the playoffs with his first group I'm pretty sure the coach before him made the playoffs with that group as juniors so the excuse he had no talent is ridiculous. They need to do everyone in wartburg a favor and make the principal do what's right for the school and those kids and get rid of his sorry butt and find a real football coach instead of someone that got ran out of his own county. If your home town runs you off and will not let you come close to the kids at their high school why would another school hire him. I know b/c he is a huge brown noser. They need to fire him and hire a real coach with a real staff and not someone that gets credit as the head coach for all the work that their offensive coordinator does.

I agree with truth on everthing bad coach but i must say that coach is crazy...he tried to run it up on my tigers when he had a little talent, but last year the talent was gone an coach stephens outcoached him an led sunbright to victory. also i dont beleive that peopel down there care bout them WARTS as noone on here takes up four them...they must know that there is no chance against us. I call this year 68-0 sunbright win over the warts!!

      Began as a discussion, and evolved into a trainwreck...   Don't know how many of the TC "old guard" are left, but I feel for y'all.   Everybody has to get the last word... no matter the cost and sometimes the cost is high.

      He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.

      Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!

      Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
