Not sure if the valley has done so yet, but I really like the way alot of area jambories do 20 min. qtrs. 

 

Example

 

1st qtr.  Bledsoe v. L.V. 

2nd qtr. Grace v. Grundy

3rd qtr.  Intermission: Compitetion/raffle

4th qtr.  S.P. v. Marion

5th qtr.  Whitwell v. Sequatchie

 

Just my 2 cents worth.  Just wonder if it would  work out better for everyone.  Less pregame more football.  What do you guys think?

It would be great to see something like that Possum----gives us a more true indicator of our team and makes for excitement----the old system is outdated in my opinion

I like your schedule better. You are right about teams playing that do not play during regular season. I would like to see Whitwell get back to playing teams that we traditionally played. There is no reason Whitwell cannot at least compete with Sequatchie, Bledsoe and Grundy. I seriously have no idea how they are keeping the program afloat with the gates they are probably getting. I think that will probably happen after this year though.

That looks like a fun, interesting-for-fans format. In the Henry County jamboree we attend it's just two teams playing for two quarters, with four "games". This year one team, McCraken County from KY will stay on field and play a diff. team in next game for a total of seven teams here. I really like your format. Play twice, diff. team each time. More football for sure with entertaining halftime contests. This is nice way to do it! In ours, they save the "highlight"/ marquee game for last, which is usually the bigger schools (usually 4A, 5A, or 6A teams). But the "big game" this year is ... , ta da.. our 1A Dresren Lions (& our great new coach Derek Rang) vs our beloved old coach and his new school, Keith Hodge and Murray Tigers, a 2A KY school. Dude, Dresden may be a ghost town come game night! Sorry to ramble on your thread, but we pumped! And just scanning/ reading about other jamborees just now, I must say yours here looks like it is a better, more crowd attracting event! Fine job indeed! I say... HURRY UP AUGUST!!!! lol
