Region 1 single a predictions

I Think its still Hampton's conference till someone proves different. I hope it comes down to week 10 again. I think my landers will be tough again but the schedule worries me a little. Dont know much about the greene county teams but figure South will be better this year. Would love to see Unaka improve seems they allways have some talent but sometimes all of it doesnt come out for football. Well there is my 2 cents. Thats about what is worth lol

I'd have to pick Hampton. Then probably Landers or South Greene 2nd. Dont expect Unaka to be much improved this year, we will be about the same maybe not quite as good as last year. Don't know much about anyone else

IMO, It's a 3 way race. Cloudland lost the fewest kids,but they lost some that will be hard to replace. Hampton lost  about 10 ,but only a couple that they can't replace.SG lost several skill position players,but with the # of students they have,they may be able to fill in the spots. I really don't see any of the other teams in the top 3, but they may be better than I'm giving um credit for. Its like any year, whoever can stay away from injuries will have the best shot. Saying all that, I'd still take Hampton to finish 1st, Cloudland a close 2ond and SG as the sleeper. I'm just glad that the season is neigh upon us and hope all the teams can enjoy a hard hitting injury free season.

Staying healthy is important to everyone but id say due to 210 ish students even more important to Cloudland. Whose Hampton got first game? I think Avery will be a hand full for Cloudland.

      I agree about what you say about the smaller schools like Cloudland, usually not alot of quality depth. Hampton opens up at Unicoi, I know Cloudland roughed um up pretty good in the spring,but I'd say they will be improved by the start of the season,I'd proceed with optimistic caution. Avery should have really good skill guys, the line will be a big question mark.If I were betting ,my money would go on the Landers. I'm looking forward to the up coming scrimmages, should know a little more about these teams after a tussle or 2.

I had the opportunity to spend some time in Sneedville back in June. Hancock Co HS I believe is one of your district's schools. I was there taking a group of church youth on a mission trip where we did some home remodeling. Very beautiful area with great people. I felt blessed to spend some time in y'all's neck of the woods.

I think you guys go to the Stone Castle to take on the Vikings on the 1st of August. Should be a stiff test to say the LEAST.
