The West game scares me. It is a short week after the Alcoa game. West will be a great team. The game is at West. 2 years ago after a short week Maryville had to fight hard to get out of Knoxville with a win.

 

Governors91 is right. Every 3-4 years William Blount will give Maryville fits.

I think WB will put a scare into Maryville this year, it's just a gut feeling. I'm not saying WB will beat them, I just think the Govs will keep it interesting. Last year Maryville embarrassed us and I think the Govs will have this game circled on their calendar. It won't be hard for them to get motivated for this game.

The QB situation looks pretty good from what I saw today out of Tyler. The kid runs a 4.5 40 yard dash and he will be just as dangerous as Garrett was last year. Now Maryville can't afford an injury because the backups are not quiet there yet but they should get plenty of playing time to develop as the season goes on.

I do like Blackman. I just happen to think that Oakland will be tougher this season. Blackman's got a few question marks on defense, and I don't see many question marks at all for the Patriots.

No, I stand behind what I said. I think you will see alot more fight out of this bunch. That 65-7 loss can't sit well with them. I look for them to give Maryville a game this time around because if you look at the history WB always bounces back to give maryville a better game after they got beat really bad the year before. They did it in 2011 after getting beat 55-6 in 2010 and I think they will do it again this year. I do not think WB will win, I never bet against maryville anymore, but I do think the game will be closer than most expect. Edited July 23, 2014 by Governors91
