MSURacer
Well, 2014 here we go!!! I've been told Liberty is expecting to have a really solid team this year. Heard they beat Dyer County at their jamboree 21-0. HC needs a good week of practice and to have their heads on right for this one. The Crusaders always give us a good effort. Hopefully we can bring a fully healthy team to Jackson on Friday. What are the thoughts on this one?
dhstennis
HC will bring the biggest crowd of the season to liberty...hopefully...HC fans will account for more than half of what liberty brings in at the gate over the whole season...so thank you record books are not in our favor so id like to see us put one in the W column and even things up just a bit
Red Warrior
HC in a massacre. They're not in our league!!!
FactsOnly
Last year I compared Liberty athletically to Ridgeway. Got a lot of grief for that comment until the ol' head coach made a similar comment later in the year. I think we'll see the same or better this year from Liberty. They are certainly serious about their football (see schedule). That said, I think the rubber hits the road hard late in the third quarter and we will see depth, conditioning, preparation, and adjustments have the necessary effect for a sound Henry County win. Not sure dhstennis' prediction will hold that we will account for over half the yearly home attendance on this one Friday, but it is a Fact (the first of many this year) that Henry County's side will be full and many of us will have to spend the evening on the home side. Drewcephus
2014, and so it begins! I liked what I saw this past Friday against McCracken Co. Their QB was fun to watch. But that was just our warm-up and now its time to get serious and down to business. Liberty has some serious talent in several positions. We have to account for more than a couple of guys on their D to make it happen. Big Red Defense is going to have to step it up and deal with yet another Bush running back along with a host of talented supporting cast members. I like our odds this week, but its not going to be a massacre... Go Big RED!!!

FactsOnly
Hmmm...how good is Dyer County supposed to be?!?!? No idea, but for what it's worth: 4A Liberty power ranking - 53 5A Dyer County -131 with all classes compared head to head rather than within their class on "Sonny Moore". Well I know that the Bush kid is supposed to be stellar, and there is a D-lineman that is top notch too. But I think pretty highly of our Defense when its healthy, and it should be this Friday! HC Haywood Covington Ripley covington is the only team that has a crowd and they may not show depending on the season they are having...i think its a very safe bet to say that HC fans will account for well over 50% of the seasons gate even if we added a 5th game...id still hold on to my claim

dhstennis
there is no excuse for liberty tech parents...from band...cheer and football...its a shame...people ask why things are so bad in jackson...85% of the parents arent around to support their childrens endeavours liberty just doesnt get the same fan support as other publics in town...apparently we have to be ranked nationally for folks to come watch...being the best in the area isnt enough maybe ill get a nice surprise friday night...who knows
