Ok, I'll start, saw some pretty good ball out of my Indians tonight for about 44 & 1/2 minutes then it fell apart. Up 13-0 with 4:00ish left in the 4th. They hit a 72 yard pass & PAT good. 13-7 with 3:37 left. Onside kick is right in an Indians hands but he can't secure it & it squirts out, Tiger ball. We have them 4th & 7 roughly mid field, little WR screen that's stuffed, receiver fumbles & Tigers pick it up & reverse field & pick up the 1st by 0.0000037458 millimeters (well maybe not that close but it was CLOSE). End up scoring with 34.7 left. Of course everyone in the joint knows we gotta pass & a pick soon follows to end it. 2 missed FG's & a missed PAT were huge for us tonight. Gotta shore up the kicking game & learn how to recover a fumble or the dogs will be a couple of hands full.

OnB, glad to see y'all handled your business last night, no doubt we're gonna have a steep hill to climb next Friday but I really think we're up to the task. I'm also sure the Hampton folks feel the same way both about the hill and thinking they can climb it. We did let one get away last night for sure but to be honest last night was an exact mirror image of last years game at Rockwood. I really believe last year RW out played us but we hung around and kept digging, got a few breaks, and capitalized on them. Last night was the same deal, I truly believe Oneida out played RW last night but they hung tough and needed some breaks. They got them and were able to capitalize on them, that's just a sign of a mentally strong team, they hadn't really had much success on offense and were down 2 scores late but they kept digging and they finally pulled it out when they needed to. Hats off to the Tigers, they handled their business as well, and to use Coach Webb's words from the post game meeting at mid field, "stole one". I don't know if I would really call it stealing one, more just didn't give up and took advantage of some breaks that went their way. I've heard some negative comments from the RW folks about being a down year. Let me say this, they may not be super big, lightening fast, or real flashy but that's a hard nosed bunch of young men that are both mentally and physically strong and regardless of the W-L column at the end of the year you can be sure if you watch them play you'll see them give it everything they got. I respect any team that handles themselves like that.

We will have to get off the bus ready to rumble.  The whole stable of backs we got run tough every opportunity they get.  One missile and a whole bunch of IBM's.  They just rotate the whole crew and they all run North-South as soon as they touch it.  I expect a bit of a jump going up to Hampton because the first one is out of the way and altough disappointed, I'm sure the kids will get it in gear.  Lamberts Defense made the fourth down play that should have iced the Rockwood game, but the zebra swallowed his whistle.  (he was seen choking on it on the way to parking lot!)  Play a tough hard nose game and, surprise, the next one is right here.  Injury-wise I think we are good and there sre some indications #40 might suit up for the next one.  I'm sure they won't throw him in until he is cleared by Doc.(We'll see on that one)  Had to shoot a mule.....trip may be iffy unless someone likes this hitch hikers legs!!!

Present and accounted for,we got a big W last night and I sure wasn't expecting a blowout like that. We were good through the air and on the ground. Our d played hard and swarmed to the ball.We lost a stud in Mcclain on o and d, but we've got a couple more kids who should be able to fill in until he gets back. No way I could predict a score or even a winner on this one, but we won't be scoreing 48 this week. Points ALWAYS comes at a premium when you play a Lambert D. I'm just looking forward to hardnosed 4 quarter injury free ballgame. This is my favorite game on our schedule. Love playing those Injuns.Win ,lose or draw ,this game will help prepare both teams for the road ahead. Look forward to meeting some of the Oneida faithful. I've got to put a face to go with ole Kazzdoddles voice.
