Harriman at Sunbright

Recommended Posts

The Blue Devils are coming off of a big win over Hancock and now have to prepare for a 3 game road trip. First stop will be at Sunbright where payback has to be on the mind of Harriman as they lost last year's match. I think Harriman's improvement and experience this year will be the difference in this one!

Harriman - 34

Sunbright - 21

I'm taking Harriman too in this one. I think the score will be as bad for Sunbright as last week's game with King's Academy. IMO TKA's QB and RB looked good in the 1 minute news segment I saw on WVLT's Countdown To Kickoff and we'll be able to compare the two(Harriman -TKA) since King's plays Hancock this week.

This score looks like it could be the better guess.I cant believe SB will be as bad as Hancock.I also think about 10 point difference.

I'm with you OnB. I like our team ALOT this year, but Sunbright always gives us fits! I do feel confident in our team picking up the win Friday night, just not in blowout fashion. I wouldn't complain with another big win though! GO BIG BLUE!!  :thumb:

After last years game, and the way they have grown up this offseason I see the boys being more prepared for what they couldn't handle last year. I don't think it will be a blowout. Just Harriman's depth going further than Sunbright. Harriman's first team has looked really good. And the second line and fullbacks isn't far off. Just need more depth at the skill positions.

Sportsnetwriter.. How can you say Sunbright has always gave Harriman fits when the past 5 meetings, four have been Harriman winning in blowout fashion...

That being said, looks like a good matchup with two good running backs going head to head.

Harriman opened up the playbook with three different people scoring by catching passes.

Sunbright played a what looks like is going to be good Kings team without Skylar Bunch. Anxious to hear which Running back can get behind their line and friend it out Friday night..

Harriman has blew them out despite the last matchup you are right. Probably could've summed it up better by saying last year and with scrimmages as well. My apologies. In the end I think Harriman just has a better team with more depth and better skill position players than the Tigers. It will be a good game for Harriman before the Big Blue make the trip to Rockvegas!

    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
    • I suppose you are correct but from my understanding it was going to be a situation of the HC saying yay or nay to every play
