My son is playing football in this league.  He just turned 14.  Only one 14 year old is allowed on the field at a time.  How stupid is this. He has to watch a lot of the game because he is splitting time with the other 14 year old. He can play in high school for 4 years.  Their are about 6 others that are not playing on his team because of the same stupid rule.  They miss a year of football because if they play, they will spend more time sitting and watching a game then playing, and I don't blame them for not playing.  One year can make a difference.  If I were a 5-AA coach, I would be livid.  Please explain to me why this rule is in place, and who came up with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a league vote,my sons also played in the Seq league,i personally think its a good rule. The Jrs are actually supposed to be 12 and 13 yr old kids, they did that because of the injuries that were hurting the teams.Yes 14 thru 19 yr olds play in High School if they are physically able.In the Jr league the difference between a 12 yr old and a 14 yr old is tremendous.I remember one yr Madisonville and Polk had numerous 14 yr olds on heir team and hardly no one could compete with them. Its about safety and making it a more competetive league.
