W 27-14 over East Ridge

W 18-0 over Kirkman

W 24-0 over Dobyns-Bennett

W 50-48 over Jackson Central-Merry

Clinton was rainy and cold and their coach took a swing at coach Alford after the game.

 

Kirkman was supposed to beat us like a drum and didn't score.

 

Kingsport DB was on a neutral site, Sevier County, and cold as heck.

The debate rages on about who took the state title in 1961. Bradley or OR haha.Bradley beat us that year, but lost to McMinn Co in their last game of the year. Both teams went 9-1, but OR went 9-1-1 when you could still have ties. Bradley is recognized in most polls to have won the state that year when their was no playoff, but some polls have us winning it.

McMinn scored the most points on that OR team that season(14). That was one heck of a team

Yes it was. About 7 guys on that team went on to play in the SEC and one made a career in the NFL (Bobby Richards)
