What did he do that crossed a line?

Yeah I would like to know too.

From what I know he has always been pretty even and fair with all teams and players. I am sure after a while you may have a slip here and there as much as he is televised. But apparently no one is willing to say so it could not be that important.

In my opinion he has really done a great job. I appreciate being able to see these games on TV and most part the announcements are pretty darn good.

I agree and enjoy the games as well. But...Friday night it became too personal for him to manage. He interrupted the game to attempt to embarrass a ref who blew a call. Police had to escort him off the field.

He crossed the line and argued with the refs, school officials, and police. It was hard to watch. Hopefully, he has contacted both schools with an apology and even twits out an apology for anyone who follows him.

Everybody makes mistakes.

Is losing the Bradley game apart of that apology you think.

??? So he’s not gonna make the trip to Bradley? I hadn’t heard that. SMH. What a DA.

Having shown my #### at a few sporting events in my life, sometimes you must take your medicine and apologize. I read once that when a youth event ends and people are talking about something an adult did, the adult was likely in the wrong.

That's what the word on the street is right now. There are three away games that are a nightmare to watch on NFHS because of signals and the game freezing up and Bradley is one of them. Thought when that was announced at the first of the season that was one problem out of the way getting to see that game and now this.

Packer tweeted last night that he dropped the Maryville/Bradley game and picked up West/Powell. He said the reason was it’s a 1 V 2 matchup and the decision had nothing to do with Friday night. He had made that decision earlier in the week. If so, which I seriously doubt, why didn’t he announce it when he changed the schedule?

First time I've ever known him to ever to change a game long as I can remember. How convenient.

I just heard what happened. That is messed up. I'm not sure what he hoped to accomplish by doing that.

I have thought a lot about this. I’ve been to 2 WB games this year. I’ve seen you on the sidelines doing your job. Let’s imagine if you walked into the end zone, took out your phone, put it 6 inches from an officials face and started taking pictures. Doing this mind you, in the middle of an extra point attempt. I would think you would be escorted off the field and possibly wouldn’t have a job the next day. I can’t comprehend why he thought this was ok, and he asked “why are you singling me out?”  It was one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen. And I’m 51 years old. I’m still shaking my head.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
