  We used to have several larger school's in 1a. Even had some very good private schools.

Theyre not getting talked about much but I'm not counting undefeated Columbia Acad out. Their program has really strengthened over the last few years.

Man 1A is weak outside of the top 2 this year (Union City/NCS).  No way a 2-3 South Pitt should be anywhere near the top 10 especially after a 1 pt win over Whitwell.  Will a loss to a decent Grundy team be enough to get them out of the top 10?

A loss to a 3a/4a team, maybe-maybe not. BTW, what is a bobcat?

Overall it is a fact. 1A is weaker overall than the past 40 years. When we split into 6 classes it got very weak year in and year out except for 6-7 teams. You don't have that anymore. NCS is a good team and Union City is outstanding. Outside of those two teams? You have a bunch of average and below average teams. Edited September 23, 2014 by TheAmbassador

If you look closely, Oakdale actually got 16 votes. Idk who your team is but they must be pretty bad because you sure have an awful lot of hate and jealousy towards Oakdale. You're still the only person in these threads that bad mouths them. There are two, 2 loss teams and one, 3 loss team in the top 10 and all you care about is a team who still hasn't made the top 10. You have not seen all the top ten or so play either and there's no way to compare teams now to teams past. The talent level changes in all classifications every year.

No I haven't seen them all play, but honestly I don't need too. 1A football took a huge hit when we went to 6 classes. We have had alot of teams in the quarterfinals and even semifinals the past few years that probably had no business there. Teams getting mercy ruled in the later rounds tells us something. The teams in the east that have decent programs. SP, Gordonsville, Coalfield, Greenback, Moore County. All of them are fielding weaker teams than last season. Who else is there over here? Cloudland? Oakdale? Red Boiling? Midway? Lookout Valley? Just think about.

The east being weak don't make 1a as a whole weak. I'm getting off this thread, I don't know why I let myself get caught up in these worthless polls, they mean nothing.
