Bowl Games?

I know used to they used to do a few bowl games for teams that miss the playoffs...

 

Does anyone know if they still do them and if there will be any this year?

Not true I know they have had them up until the mid 2000's at least a few.   Not sure on any now but they have had them a lot more recent than the 70's. 

 

In 2004  Sequatchie Co. played York Institute in a Bowl at Upperman in Baxter, TN.

That is false, I remember in 2008 Collinwood missed the playoffs and played a bowl game, then some of there fans came on here saying "it was better than playoffs" and "They had fun."  can't remember the exact poster, may have been GreenMan.

Yep GB played Rockwood in 1989.

I know Rhea County and Knox Grace played one at Carson Newman back in like 2010. The Battle at the Burke I think it was called

WB and Hardin Valley had a bowl game at Grace Christian last year.

Grace did that because they were on probation that year. Teams are allowed to schedule an 11th game as long as neither teams make the playoffs. The game also can't take place on the same day is playoff games per tssaa rules.

With the exception of the Waffle Bowl, there aren't any high school bowl games that I know of.

I think Grace will host 2 of 3 benefit games again this year as they did last.Hardin valley beat William Blount last year and Bearden beat West Greene.Look for King's Academy possibly this year.Careacter does this
