This is a tough one to call. Both have tons of athletes with high powered offenses. Both have allowed a couple teams to put points up on the board. I think this one is a dog fight. Hate to sound cliche but whoever wins the turnover battle probably wins. If that is even it comes down to whoever has the better game plan. I'll give that nod to the burros. Gore is a good hc and Moreno is a good dc but top to bottom they can't match the burros staff.

Looking at the Defense, McGavock has given up 7/41/6/28 in their 4 games. Hillsboro has given up 27/20/0/13 in their 4... Both have high octane offenses, should be a great Metro game in district 12AAA this Friday

Saw McGavock play Friday night. Plenty of speed. Both are well coached. I disagree with you WIP about coaching staffs. I think both are well coached. I do not see coaching being an advantage for either. It will boil down to players. Franklin is very well coached also.Maybe you can enlighten me.

Had a chance to see McGavock up close last Friday night.  Have not seen Hillsboro yet and can tell you that McGavock is good team.  The Raiders are running a simple yet effective read option offense. Auburn like. Their defense attacks the ball and they have a very effective kicker.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
