Glory
Why are we still playing Meigs? I know they're a former district opponent but that's the third Class A team we'll have played this year. Central should win this easily, but I think "playing down" to three teams could hurt us in playoff placement even if we win them all. TNFNF
Central plays up in 5 games, down in 3, even in 2.... 'm not from CHS but even I know that Central/Meigs is as big as Central/Polk to most!
BloodCharger
TN, Some folks will find SOMETHING to complain about and be critical of around here. (ie. Coaching, Scheduling, Playcalling, Signaling, Personnel, Broadcasting etc.......)
ChrisBurr555555
McMinn Central 28-14 over a very improved Meigs County team to go to 6-0! McMinn Central is set on a collision course with Loudon!

'm not from CHS but even I know that Central/Meigs is as big as Central/Polk to most! I'm talking about Class A, AA, AAA. We're in Class AA, we play one Class AAA team and three Class A teams. Those things are what the TSSAA considers in their playoff placement.

I'm well aware that the past is the past and Meigs is not what it used to be but until the late 2000's McMinn Central was playing up when they played Meigs. They continue to play because it's a big gate night and as far as I'm concerned they should play every year in every sport for the sake of not liking each other. That's good enough of an answer for me. If Central continues this rivalry with Meigs I hope we drop other Class A teams from our schedule. If Central continues this rivalry with Meigs I hope we drop other Class A teams from our schedule. Nobody would play Boyd and grace. I heard central had trouble finding games and these matched up. By the way, district winners and runner ups are seeded first. Playing up is low on the tie breaker list. And I'm pretty sure playing 4a 5a 6a schools count. Even if it's not, they still play 3 A schools 5 AA schools and 2 AAA schools
logcabinman
Meigs is much improved. Give these MC boys a break. How many times have you seen this in high school football, and college for that matter. Polk wanted this game, and MC was playing not to lose. Felt the boys were a little tight. However, them boys were hittin like nobody's business. I look to see Meigs put up a heck of a fight. They are well coached and have some talent. I do look for the Chargers to get back to their bread and butter and control this one in the end.
