2 semi appearances as Copper Hill.Beat by Gordy both times.

I think the loss against Andrews was needed for the cougars. It will teach them a lesson and make them stay on their toes the rest of the season. I say basin plays better football than what they've been playing because of that loss. They are a great football team

Copper Basin made it to the semifinals in 1983 losing 10-7 to the eventual state runner up Gordonsville. They then made it back to the semifinals in 1984 only to lose 12-0 to the eventual state champion Gordonsville. As for the 2014 Copper Basin team being a great team? No, they aren't. SP, CB and Whitwell are all similar this year. They all are average 1A teams.
