I understand Mitchell, they shouldn't lose a game in 1A. Why Union City? What makes them a lock?

Might be one of if not the most talented boy basketball team to ever put on a uniform in Union City.  They are going to be that good.  That my friend is WHY , Union City.  They are very deep, they are tall, they are fast...they will run you until you say uncle....they will dunk on you, they will shoot three pointers on you, they will play defense on you that will smother you, they will cause turnovers which in return will cause easy, slam dunk, transition baskets.  Not bragging at all, just know how they played last year....and what they have coming back in addition with the transfer from Ohio who is already ranked in the top 150  sophomore's in the country.....THAT's WHY!!  You will see soon enough.....can't wait.

What about Goodpasture?  They were good last year, and they got the good player that transferred from Cookeville H.S..

Don't sleep on Clay county with a new 6' 8" transfer that can play to go along with a 6' 5" and a 6' 6" already there. Then throw in a 6'2" guard that is real good then about 6 more that are better than average. Might be something going on up there. Could be an interesting year in 1A.

Mitchell and Union City will no doubt be the favorites. It they play ball and take care of business they should both be there. TCA, KIPP Academy and Booker T will be the next best teams from the West and are capable of beating the above teams if the above teams have a bad night. Both Mitchell and UC have amazing guard play. Guard play is the key in 1A basketball!
