Cookeville @ LaVergne

Cookeville (7-1) comes into LaVergne (3-5) with a decidedly big advantage in the win column. They're also much bigger in the trenches compared to the Wolverines. Most people in the state are probably going with the Cavaliers in this one. I'm going with LaVergne although in the bottom of 7aaa they have some good athletes and compete week in week out with great competition!

The Sonny Moore computer ranking say Cookeville by 16.  They have only "played two  teams" (Cleveland and Rhea Co.) and won both if I recall correctly.  The rest of their schedule has been ridiculously weak.  Yet, LHS was supposed to be better than they are right now.  Something is not right over there. Yes, they've played a TOUGH schedule mostly (obvioulsy not counting Whites Creek) but certainly must be considered a disappointment.

 

I'll go with Moore's computer pick.

They actually lost to Rhea Co. So everyone they've beaten is very mediocre.

I expect this to be a good game.   Should be worth the price of admission.  WCP glad to see you are still keeping up with Cookeville.  Haven't heard from you in a while.

Many of you will be shocked on this one. Cookeville wins this one. And by more than a touchdown. LaVergne may be 7AAA, but this isn't Blackman or Oakland were talking about.

But, then Cookeville would probably be at the bottom of this district OR have a losing record if they played Oakland, Blackman, Riverdale and Smyrna.  LaVergne is not that good, but Cookeville is not as good as their record suggests.
