Note: Hollow Rock-Bruceton could be a candidate for Region 5, but I kept it in Region 7 due to its close proximity to other schools in that region.

After about 2 1/2 hours of careful deliberation, this is what I got. I'm not sure if the TSSAA will go for 9-team districts, but there are three here because of very long distances between some of these schools. All of 1A is a complete mess, with way too many in West TN and Southwest Middle TN and too few in far East TN. Concord Christian and Moore County could fit in other regions. I wasn't sure what to do with West and Middle TN in 2A, so I made an educated guesstimate. Regions 2-6 in 3A may be a tad off in places, and the same for Regions 3-6 in 4A. I'm not too confident with 5A. When Gibbs moved up, it left South Doyle as an outlier that didn't fit with the other schools without overloading the region. But, I moved Gibbs east and let South Doyle stay because Gibbs is already a little northeast of Knoxville (TSSAA may do the opposite). I also had several problems placing Regions 4-6 in 5A. The 5A schools in the middle of the state are grouped in Sumner, Davidson, NW Rutherford, Williamson, and Maury, but also include the outliers White (which is way out by itself), Franklin, Lincoln, and Shelbyville. Those three regions were tricky. Lastly, my 6A projection is the same as every other one I've seen. Bradley Central gets to drive hundreds of miles to the Johnson City area, Wilson County schools play Nashville teams and Franklin, and the Rutherford County powerhouses get to run over the usually embarrassing teams of Coffee and Warren, as well as Cookeville.

Class 3A

Region 3 (8 Teams): Chattanooga Christian, East Ridge, Howard, Notre Dame, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, Sequatchie County, Grundy County

Region 4 (7 Teams): Cannon County, DeKalb County, Smith County, Upperman, Greenbrier, White House Heritage, York Institute

Rumor around here is that Sequatchie Co & Grundy Co is doing everything in there power to be placed in Region 4.

Making it look like this...

Region 4 (7 Teams): Cannon County, DeKalb County, Grundy County, Sequatchie County, Smith County, Upperman, York Institute

Based on its location York Institute could very well be placed in Region 2. IMO!

    • I have always known Clinton and the football team to be diverse. Not saying its like Knox but I would say more so than you're leading onto. Maybe more kids are wanting to play for a minority coach like that OL that commityed to Colorado over UT due to Deion "looking like him"- Jordan Seaton
    • It’s just the facts. Not sure how else to put it.
    • As a parent, this was always my worst nightmare.  I take it for granted every time I get in the car and took it for granted most of the time when one of my sons was on the wrestling mat.  Sometimes things are not "going to be fine". Jacob was wrestling in a Greco match at Iron Man when he was thrown.  He landed on his head and neck and shattered his C6 and C7.  His spinal cord was offset which is not good. He is currently at Vanderbilt Childrens in Nashville and has undergone a big surgery to brace his neck with pins and screws and realign his spinal cord, but damage has been done.  He is currently not able to move his legs or control his fingers.  I visited him yesterday and this young man has a long row to hoe. I'm asking the wrestling community here in TN to lift his family up in prayer and come together to help.  He will likely have to go to Shephard Center in Atlanta which is going to require his mom and dad to take off work, travel, eat out, etc. Jacob does have some feeling in his lower extremities, so we are praying he will be able to recover.  Time will tell and God is in control. If you are unable to donate $5-10, please offer up prayers for Jacob to heal completely and for patience and strength for his parents as they are no doubt dealing with a worst nightmare. • If you think the real players playing at Bearden are your typical Bearden kids then you live under a rock.
    • Reado came and then Smith left so he changed his mind. Where is the coordinator at? Cental with Lane?
