Like two years ago when McMinn and Bradley played week 10 and then turned around and opened the playoffs against one another, you have above Riverdale and Smyrna for the 2nd straight week (though this one would be at Riverdale). Cookeville and LaVergne would be for the 2nd time in 3 weeks (again, with a different host this time).

I think Independence gets shipped to quad 4. They have been sent there multiple times before when there weren't enough teams in that area. I see no reason why they wouldn't do it again

I was just basing the make-up of Quad 3 off which school is farther east (Rossview or Independence). Besides not wanting to move a school more than 1 natural quadrant, I was thinking that the next stated consideration by the TSSAA is the east-to-west geography. As far as travel time goes, you're right. So if that happens to be the decision, it produces the following Quads 3 and 4.

Quad 3

#8 Cane Ridge (Station Camp possible here w/o affecting other matchups)  (WC, 5-5)

#1 Ravenwood (#1, 10-0)

#5 Overton (#2, 6-4)

#4 Rossview (#2, 7-3)

#6 Centennial (WC, 8-2)

#3 Franklin (#2, 8-2)

#7 McGavock (WC, 8-2)

#2 Hendersonville (#1, 9-1)

Quad 4

#8 White Station (WC, 4-6)

#1 Whitehaven (#1, 10-0)

#5 Independence (WC, 6-4)

#4 Memphis Central (WC, 7-3)

#6 Collierville (WC, 6-4)

#3 Houston (#2, 9-1)

#7 Bartlett (WC, 5-5)

#2 Arlington (#1, 8-2)

As an East TN guy there's not much here in the opening round that grabs me (especially compared to what could be if we just continued with the 3-class regular season into the playoffs), but a potential 2nd round game where Maryville faces Hardin Valley -- the defense it most struggled against to generate big plays or to score TDs against in the red zone -- is somewhat intriguing and, of course, a potential 2nd round rematch for D-B at Science Hill.

I'm thinking as of now that it will be Maryville-Whitehaven in the Blue Cross Bowl. The semis will be:

Maryville-Dobyns Bennett

Whitehaven-Hendersonville

I think those semi-final matchups you mentioned could take place -- and with great interest across the state -- but would instead be quarterfinals. Wouldn't at all be surprised if you're right about the 6A title game.

OK long dang ride for us Bradley fans. Anyone who works won't be there.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
