I am on way back to Clarksville and listening to 104.5. The supposedly "GURU" Murphy. He just stated this about the four teams left in 1A Quad 3 . He said the if Columbia Academy, Wayne County and Clarksville Academy put together an Allstar team that still wouldn't be able to stay on the field with NCS. Interesting statement.

Wildcat89 stated:

We picked the All-star team and they are all from WC and WC will prove him wrong next week!

Let's get this out of the way now because if we don't, Wildcat89, wildcatalumni, and the rest of their feline infested and possibly incested brethren will be beating their chests and referring to this event ad nauseam all week.

On 8/15/2014, NCS and Wayne played each other in a jamboree at Page HS in Franklin for two quarters. Wayne treated this matchup as a playoff game, was fired up, opened up their playbook, and played inspired football. NCS treated this matchup like a practice and ran just basic plays.

Blah, blah, blah....yada, yada, yada......At the end of two quarters, WC led 21-7. Does that about sum it up wildcat fans?

LOVE the topic title!NCS by 28.William Blount beat Maryville in the Blount County Jamboree also.We all saw what the regular season beating Mville gave them was like,i expect the same outcome NCS big.

Just the title we 10-A folks would expect from Ken.  He is a hard core NCS fan, but can be quite a poopy head at times.   He loves his eagles, but sometimes doesn't play well with others.  .  However, if this thread turns in to a chest beating contest, my money is on Ken!

My prediction for this one is 38-13, NCS.

Boys will be at an intense film session in about an hour. Would love to hear the breakdown of the plan to slow down the WC offense. Glad that's not my task this week.

IMO, both of these Quad 3 Round 2 matchups will be good ones.

They are wasting their time!I read on another website about the Gordonsville game and one of the WC fans said that they cannot be stopped unless they stop themselves,so i guess their Defence is real good too.

    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
    • I suppose you are correct but from my understanding it was going to be a situation of the HC saying yay or nay to every play
