Here's a hypothetical bracket of the 6A playoffs next for 2015.  The seeds are based on overall record from this past regular season and final standings.  Again, this is strictly hypothetical!!!  Just interesting to see potential matchups, especially in the 2nd & 3rd Rounds.

R2-8 Coffee Co @ R1-1 Maryville

R1-5 Bradley Co @ R2-4 Cookeville

R2-6 Warren Co @ R1-3 Dobyns Bennett

R1-7 Jeff Co @ R2-2 Oakland

R1-6 Wm Blount @ R2-3 Riverdale

R2-7 Siegel @ R1-2 Science Hill

R2-5 Smryna @ R1-4 Hardin Valley

R1-8 Bearden @ R2-1 Blackman

The worst thing about the 6A division is that everyone gets into the

playoffs. I assume that the worst team in Region 1 will have to travel to

play the best team from Region 2 in round 1 of the playoffs. Therefore, a

(2-8)team like William Blount will have to travel 200 miles to play a (10-0)

team like Ravenwood to get their brains beat in. This is a worthless game

that serves no purpose. The game will be in running clock mode before

halftime, and nobody wants to drive 3 hours to watch garbage like that.

If you don't make the top 4 in your region, you don't belong in a playoff

game.

Either way,if your not a deep team come playoff time,it's a nice 11 or 12 game season and go home.Looking at the final two games Maryville had this year is what a low seed will face for five straight weeks if they get real hot and win every week. That's pretty much going to take a team that is not healthy during the season and gets everyone at playoff time.Kind of like the Seahawks in the NFL this year.

Batman - I know it is so frustrating for you DB guys to win double-digit games every year but then get bounced in the early rounds.     This may not help, but just to put it in perspective, Boone has only won 10 games once in the history of the school...... if we went 10-0 and then lost the 1st round there would still be partying in the streets of Gray

If any team other then Maryville goes 10-0 next year in our conference, they will be partying

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
