I don't know if there are any regulations about doing so during this time of year, but, if they can, I think it makes sense for our Lions to practice football in this cold weather. Get used to throwing, catching, kicking, hitting frozen ground, using cold footballs, etc. Even dip the footballs in ice water before practice and make it bad as possible. After all, aren't regular season games and playoff games played in winter cold, even icy storms? So the weather we now having it'd be smart to practice imo. IF allowed to that is. Wise, serious players would practice on their own in such weather if team can't. And no... I'm not joking.

You sound like Roy Dillard. No you can't practice this time of year.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
    • It's not just DB, I don't think any of the NET big schools will ever be relevant in football.      Meaning in the playoffs.....
