I know there are never for sure wins. A team can come out and suprise you on any given night. But honestly, I see only 3 games being potential loses (that's just going off what little I know). Huntingdon, Clarksville Academy, and Mount Pleasant.

Also, I was told by someone that these new regions aren't 100% just yet.....they might change? Any truth to that?

That's weird playing MtP first game of the year. But, I am glad that the cwood game is the last of the year again. I see another 8-2 season for WC at worst 7-3....possibly 10-0 but that Huntingdon game will be tough....glad it's a home game.

I like it a lot more better playing y'all the first game of the year... MP's chances might be a little better.

We picked up Perry Co. too.

Rather kept Collinwood.

I believe they are locked in.  But they're only locked in for 2 years, 2015-16, instead of the usual 4.  I'm pretty sure they're going to decide what to do with the private schools before the next classification.  There are a few scenarios where WC might move back to the old region in 2 years...I hope it happens.

And I like the schedule. I like that Huntingdon and Collinwood are the last two games, that Clarksville Academy is the first region game, and that Mount Pleasant kicks off the season - it should really motivate everyone through summer workouts and August practices.

I'm bummed that we're not playing Summertown though. I'd been looking forward to that game for years.

We also do pretty well against these teams historically.

1. Mount Pleasant: MP leads 31-25-1.  Last meeting 2014: WC won 48-32.

2. Scotts Hill: 0-0

3. Clarksville Academy: WC leads 4-1. Last meeting 2011: WC won 42-20.

4. Decatur County: WC leads 9-6-2.  Last meeting 2014: WC won 33-20. (Most of the games took place before the '70s).

5. Bruceton: Bruceton leads 2-0.  Last meeting 1995: Bruceton won 28-14.

6. Perry County: WC leads 14-1.  Last meeting 2014: WC won 48-13. (PC had football in the '60s for a few years too).

7. Houston County: WC leads 3-0-1.  Last meeting 1982: WC won 7-3.

8. McEwen: Tied 8-8.  Last meeting 2010: WC won 40-0.

9. Huntingdon: WC leads 1-0.  Last meeting 2011: WC won 26-13.

10. Collinwood: WC leads 22-19. Last meeting 2014: WC won 27-0.

None of this amounts to a hill of beans in 2015, but its still interesting to know.

Over the past say 10 years WC has probably been the most dominant team in their region/district. I'm looking forward to getting a fresh start in this new region and coming in with a good team. I feel WC can compete for the region championship next year but it will be a battle every week!

Huntingdon will have another Warbritton playing for them.

WC hasn't missed the playoffs in 14 years and only one losing season during that time.

2004 - MP 52 WC 13

2005 - MP 17 WC 6

2006 - MP 45 WC 19

2007 - MP 43 WC 22

2008 - MP 7 WC 26

2009 - MP 0 WC 29

2010 - MP 28 WC 31

2011 - MP 24 WC 28

2012 - MP 54 WC 14

2013 - MP 27 WC 22

2014 - MP 32 WC 48

The past decade, 11 games total, MP has 6 wins and WC has 5 between the two....

I don't think the word "dominant" fits into your sentence.... And MP had their share (five I think) of Region Championships through that decade as well along with WC and CW splitting the rest of them.

Well let me rephrase, one of the dominant! And by the way, y'all were 2a during those years in a 1a region but no excuses, there's been some great battles and I expect many more!

:thumb:..... We all know the top 3 has been MP, WC, & CW in our area. Can't say one has really "dominated" our old Region. It's been back and forth.

I think MP got bumped up to 2A in 2006 but remained predominantly in a 1A Region of play. Richland and Loretto is only 2A schools MP faced until playoff time.

Any ways back to WC talk and y'alls new Region.

    • Ouch! If he's in the scrap business maybe
    • That's a nice story but has little to nothing to do with what we're talking about.
    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.    Would go back to the 90s and turn black the clock!
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
