Section 8: Member schools are responsible for the conduct of the coaches. Public criticism of game officials by administrators or coaches will result in a fine of $500.00 assessed to the school. Other non-monetary penalties may be assessed by the Executive Director based on the facts."

 

I guess they will decide what criticism is. If a coach is asked what happened at an unreported-on game the previous week, and the coach answers (for example) they scored on the last play on a pass where we felt the receiver pushed off and it's on video, is that subject to $500?

Maybe there should be a bylaw added to fine the officiating crew for messes like in the 1986 Class A title game or that Boyd-FCS playoff game with the Touch Down Jesus incident.

I'd be happy if they just earned their money on Friday nights. I think this was the worst officiating across the board I've ever saw. Not just our games but at all games I watched both in person & on film. Not biased, just overall bad.

I garuntee you this is a bunch of mess. I talked to Murphy and that man at Ronnie red eye. These reefs should be fined them if they make a wrong call and it affects the outcome of the durn game. You think im joking but I'm not.

Not sure I would want to work for a principal that turn me in for being honest about bad officials.  Now going out and publicly blasting them on TV or Radio could be a different story.

Officials will be paid after the game provided the show knowledge and fair delegation of the rules.  Failure to do will result in no payment.

Not sure I would want to work for a principal that would turn me in for a $500 for being honest about bad officiating.  Now going on the radio or TV and blasting officials could be a different story.

The officiating this year in 1a was the worse I have ever seen! Not just against us but every game I attended for both teams! I have seen them throw multiple flags then have a five minute conference and then wave the flags off! Either you seen something or you didn't!

Look at the bright side of this...just about all the games will be officiated for free.
