devilsden
Those from the Knoxville area might have heard that Coach Pennington has suffered through some serious health problems for the past few months. He was a longtime assistant coach at Halls HS and Webb School and was the father of Chad Pennington. Please say a prayer for his family as they go through this most difficult time. TNfballfan
Coach went to be with his Heavenly Father this morning. Please keep the family in your prayes. Absolutely hate to hear this. Good man, good family. He will surely be missed around here. Thoughts and prayers to his family. The big guy upstairs just got one heck of an angel added to his army! sheppy
I was fortunate enough to work with Wood during my tenure at Halls High School. There is much sadness in my heart tonight. I talked with Denise 2-3 times this past weekend and she was hopeful this last procedure on Sunday would turn the tide in Wood's favor. But evidently the big man upstairs needed someone to sit by his side and there was no better choice than Elwood Pennington. I knew as soon as my phone rang yesterday morning with a call from Chad, that the news was not going to be good. He slipped into the streets of gold in less than 2 hours after we hung up. If you knew him - feel blessed. If you didn't know him - feel slighted, but look him up when you arrive. RIP Elwood Pennington Gary Shephard
