They aren't in TSSAA. They are really good. They beat MLK, FRA, Jackson South Side, Hillsboro, and Cane Ridge all by over 20 points... bunch of other AAA teams too, all by 20-30+ point margins.

Funny how half of the ten are private or Magnet schools. They all should have to play in private or AAA. Was private/public discussed at the recent TSSAA meeting?

You are almost correct. In Nashville, you have to have x amount of minorities and that is how they recruit players. If you see a true academic magnet school, they are usually not very good. This is how a Liberty Tech can win a state championship in such a short time. Magnet schools should have to play at the AAA level because of this advantage.

Too early to say which teams are the best, but Lighthouse has the best body of work so far. They have been very impressive. CPA and Brentwood probably not as good as last year's groups, but will still be formidable teams within their classifications. BA has been pounding teams, but their competition has been very weak. East Nashville is legit as usual - think they'd be the team to beat if they had not lost Isiah Upton. Creekwood looks ready to make some noise in AA.

Ecu the one magnet in the poll is EN. I am correct that they are an academic magnet and the vast majority of the students are what most would consider minorities. However, there is no rule for the number you must have. Pretty sure most of the Nashville public schools kids would be considered minorities.

CPA just came from behind to win for the 2nd day in a row to make the semis in the King of the Bluegrass Ky. tourney. They are now 10-0 in this tourney in their 3rd appearance in 4 years.
