Week 1 opponent has cancelled. We are a 5A school located in Jonesborough, TN. 5-5 record last year. Week 5(our bye) is also a possibility. If interested contact Head Coach Jeremy Bosken at jeremybosken@wcde.org as soon as possible.

Why don't you schedule the DB or Science Hill freshman teams. Their already used to playing against your varsity.

DB freshman team beat the Crockett JV this year... great game in the first one but some extra curricular activity by the Pioneers resulted in a dust up at the end of the game. The fight at Daniel Boone was no big surprise. When we arrived at Crockett their freshman team was leaving to play Sullivan South. To make a long story short DB played the JV with limited freshman involvement. No complaint here though, I would rather DB play a JV squad and get better doing it, than to beat the Crockett freshmen by 50. SH would have the same outcome as they are comparable to the DB fresh.

I still don't know "WHY", when we recovered that last kickoff , while the Crockett players started the fight by jumping one of our players,"THAT" the refs gave Crockett the ball back.Worst job by refs above the peewee league that I've ever seen for an entire game.

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
