FridayMainEvent
Traditional rivals Shelbyville, Columbia, Franklin County, and Lincoln County are joined by Independence, Lavergne, Stewarts Creek and Summit. Lavergne, for the first time in years will have an opportunity to flourish without playing the old 7AAA opponents (at least not as a district opponent). Shelbyville will likely have the best backfield returning with Mason Cunningham and Michael Eddings so I'd give them the early edge. Lavergne had impressive wins over Cookeville, but I don't know what they have returning. Thoughts on this Region? HighLife
Independence is in this District as well
GWAVE1
Shelbyville, Independence and LaVergne should be the front runners. I believe LaVergne returns quite a bit of talent.
FridayMainEvent
Independence is in this District as well Yeah, I knew I was missing somebody. Was able to speak with Coach Blade last season. He was a very enjoyable interview. One of the few guys to win a championship game against George Quarles. They'll definitely be in the mix as well. Thanks

delusional32
I believe Franklin County will surprise strong teams in region 5 this football season. they have a talented group of freshmen, sophomores and juniors from the past 2 to 3 years that have only lost 3 to 4 games in the past 3 years totaled as freshmen with back to back Iron bowl championships in 2013 and the 2014 win over Lavergne. from the buzz in the community Coach Smith is hard at work to fix the broken system that has hurt FC in the past.
