Bearden 2015

I found this site and though I would join. We are new to the area and are getting settled. I move quite a bit with my job. We like the area so far. One of the assistant coaches was showing me and my boy around (after he was enrolled) and the facilities are nicer than I expected. They were telling me about the new alignment for 6A that is different than last year. At the end of our little tour, one of the assistant coaches said at first he though I might be the dad or uncle of "that Maryville quarterback". The tour coach said that was someone else. I didn't know if this was some sort of inside joke or not. I know the head coach came from down there. My boy likes his classes and is looking forward to competing for a starting position at QB. We'll see how Tennessee compares to where we came from.

Where did you move from? That might give you an indication of the competition level your son is going to have? There are some areas that are more competitive than Bearden and other areas that are not. I do not what the inside joke might be.  I do not know the interworkings of their staff. Most of their coaches are from Maryville though.

 

  I do not know if you are trying to start a thread about Bearden football in 2015 because you did not ask about their chances in the next year even though your topic was Bearden 2015. Not many Bearden fans or people in the know about Bearden football  on here.  They went 1-9 last year. Basketball teams are really good though.

Also, what was behind your choice of Bearden over other schools in the area? Surely, you decision wasn't based on athletics.

Just outside of Houston. Company lease is the reason we are in this school district.

I've been going back and forth since October. They got here at the semester.

I believe they may be zoned for Catholic.....especially if he's a QB.

Bearden's HC and at least 3 other assistants from last year are all Maryville grads... maybe they have an inside joke amongst them??

What grade is your son in?  I think that they have their starter returning at qb, but after a 1-9 year, I'm sure all competition is open.  HaHa
