Recommended Posts

Upward Stars anticipates forming 20 teams for the 2015, spring/early summer tournament season!   On the boys' side, teams will be formed for 4th graders through 11th graders (CURRENT GRADE).  Depending on the number of athletes that attend tryouts, coupled with their talent level, multiple teams may be formed within each grade division.  For example:  Upward Stars-Blue, Upward Stars-White, Upward Stars-Maroon, with Upward Stars-Blue being the most talented team within an age division.   On the girls' side, Upward Stars is planning for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams (CURRENT GRADE).   Tryouts for ALL teams will begin in February!  (Tryout fee is $20, which allows athletes to attend BOTH tryout sessions)

We are excited about the Upward Stars' Coaching Staff that has been assembled  in the off-season!   All of our coaches are former college basketball players and/or current middle school/high school coaches.  Bottom line - Our coaches are experienced students of the game/teachers; have a deep passion/love for the game; and desire to make an impact in the life of each athlete both ON and OFF the court!   Please visit our "Coach Staff" page on our website to learn more about each coach currently on staff.

Play With Intensity - Play With Purpose!  Please feel free to explore our website and learn more about Upward Stars - the fastest growing basketball club in Nashville!

    • The issue here is not reporting an incident between teammates from what I have heard so it’s not shocking DCS is involved to some degree. The allegation was serious. Many people close to the program question whether the alleged incident actually took place.
    • Yeah, you might be right. We will see what happens. Should be interesting.
    • None taken ever. I just gotta believe that AC started the fire on this. Small towns talk clinton is a small town. They may have not been the official one to put ink to paper but I am sure they are the ones moving the pieces here.
    • No offense intended,  but I will take the word of an actual administrator in that system on that question.
    • My guess is, this has absolutely nothing to do with athletics. I could be completely wrong. Just going to let this play out over the next few days/weeks before throwing accusations around. Funny how when OR benefits from “transfers” it is because of the incredible school system and never for athletics because most people can’t afford the “tuition”! Going to be interesting to say the least.    And if AC is turning anybody in, shame on them. They have benefited and work the system more than most over the years.
