With District 8AA tournament being canceled due to weather, the seeds are set for the region tournament. 

 

#4-8AA Smith County at #1-7AA Bledsoe County 

#3-7AA Chattanooga Christian at #2-8AA Livingston Academy

 

#4-7AA Signal Mountain at #1-8AA Cannon County

#3-8AA Macon County at #2-7AA Notre Dame

How did they determine the seeds?  Did the girls cancel too?

The girls cancelled also.

 

They are seeded by how they finished in regular season.

 

 

Where Cannon Co finished 1st in the regular season they are #1 seed going into the region

 

Where Livingston Academy finished 2nd in the regular season they are #2 seed going into the region

 

Where Macon Co finished 3rd in the regular season they are the #3 seed going into the region

 

Where Smith Co finished 5th in the regular season they are the #4 seed going into the region

Cannon girls win region

I was jut meaning on boys side. The girls region has always been a slugfest with winners rarely repeating.

 

EDIT: Sorry seeing your correction now. They very well could. I'd love to make it down to watch but most likely working the next 8 days....

Wouldn't supprise me a bit if SC pulls an upset. LA has been to the region championship the last 7 years (winning 6 of them). Every streak will be broken but not this year. Bledsoe isn't on the same level as CC & LA so no toss up against either. LA blew BC out last year & returned 4 of 5 starters. CC & LA will have round 3. LA wins region!

      National middle school Duals

      Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!

      Not gonna lie, it’s been hard watching my alma mater go through a tough stretch on the grid iron. But this thread is even worse. y’all sound like a bunch of jr high mean girls, popping off, while hiding behind screen names.
