It won't be Mitch Wilkins.  He has a state title contender next year with all starters returning.  Courtney is a possibility.  She has two contributors returning and one is a fresh she hardly plays.  Dudley or Hart could be the darkhorses.  I would go with Hart!

Aaron Holland would do well at Obion Co. He is a former JUCO coach at Motlow and GA at Arkansas State. He has the connections to get players to the collegiate level as well. Would be a great fit at Obion Co.

Agree with that. Hart would be a Great fit at Obion. Hate to see him go from Peabody though with the Great job he's done to turn that program around in 2 and a half years.

Wilkins Tapped for Obion County Girls Basketball

 

The Obion County Central Lady Rebels have a new head basketball coach.

 

Following interviews for the position, school officials have chosen David Wilkins to head the program.

 

The 32 year old Wilkins takes over the program after coaching girls basketball the past season on the high school level at Senath-Hornersville High School in Misouri.

 

Obion County Athletic Director Craig Rogers said Wilkins was chosen from approximately 20 applicants for the job, and appeared to be the best fit to bring energy to the team.

 

Despite only one season at the helm of a high school team, Rogers said Wilkins has shown a lot of potential for success.

 

Wilkins rich basketball family does include his father, Mitch, who is the head coach of the girls team at Gibson County, and his brother John, who coaches boys basketball at McKenzie.

 

The girls head coaching position came open after six year coach Lyle LaRue resigned following a (12-14) season.

Good for Obion. I sat by him several times at GC games. He seems like a really smart guy and has a good knowledge of the game. Hope he does well.
