Do your research on some other threads on this website...there are some clubs charging 10 a session...I won't do the research for you...but it's not for our booster club it's for our kids club...we don't have the financial backing like some other clubs...we have to make do with what we can raise...

Your charging your own kids to attend a wrestling practice? The reason I ask, most schools doing the "fight nights" are not charging. Im shocked Bradley Central would charge kids in the area to come and wrestle just to benefit its booster club.

Seriously?  First two posts and this is what you bring?   An easy fix for you, don't go.  Personally, I think $10 a month is way cheap to take advantage of that room.

Maybe you should do your research. http://www.coacht.com/boards/index.php/topic/241702-fight-nights/

I have sir...Guardian as well as a club by Sean Kennedy are charging a small fee for their fight night as well...amongst some others that I can't recall off the top of my head...if you have any further questions you can call my cell at

423-650-2142.

My post to you wasn't an attack towards you but obviously I've struck a nerve...I don't feel as if charging a kid/parent 3 dollars a session is bad...most would agree and some like yourself will choose to disagree...

Slinger,

I appreciate the fact that your first two posts ever were directed toward us and this topic. "Fight Nights" are new to our area, but shared, combo, or group practices are not. Our area has been working together very well in this area for several off-seasons now. Heck, if you would've come over to the Steam Room prior to the Dixie Duals, you would've seen a room full of kids most days from several area schools of all ages.

We, Bradley Wrestling and BPWC, practice 3-4 times a week depending on the week and they have always been open to ANY and ALL at NO CHARGE. But, these scheduled practices are set to our convenience on our schedules...most of which, are after school while the kids are still a "captive audience" and on campus. However, this does not allow schools from other areas, i.e. Knoxville, M'Boro, N. GA, etc. to attend. I, personally, as well as other of our high school and club coaches have been contacted a lot over the years about practices w/ us and/or in our area but the response is always the same...that's too early for anyone to make it. With the popularity of "fight nights" catching on the past few years, our club coaches thought it'd be a good idea if we started one in our area at hours that other areas could attend as well. So, I gave them the green light. They took the initiative and made the calls/messages, set the prices, and will run the practices. I support my coaches and I can promise you this...fee in hand or not, no wrestler would be turned away that showed up and wanted to work out. Of all our weekly practice, lift, or conditioning opportunities, this is the only one there is a "fee" for. If it works...GREAT. If not, we'll back up and punt. Any $$$ made, if any, would go to FS/Greco tournament travel for the wrestlers...not in any coaches pocket. Either way, we're gonna keep working and keep grinding. Those that want to join us, c'mon. Those that don't, we'll see y'all mat side. Heck, if there are other opportunities in our area like this, we'd like to know...we travel well also.

    • The issue here is not reporting an incident between teammates from what I have heard so it’s not shocking DCS is involved to some degree. The allegation was serious. Many people close to the program question whether the alleged incident actually took place.
    • Yeah, you might be right. We will see what happens. Should be interesting.
    • None taken ever. I just gotta believe that AC started the fire on this. Small towns talk clinton is a small town. They may have not been the official one to put ink to paper but I am sure they are the ones moving the pieces here.
    • No offense intended,  but I will take the word of an actual administrator in that system on that question.
    • My guess is, this has absolutely nothing to do with athletics. I could be completely wrong. Just going to let this play out over the next few days/weeks before throwing accusations around. Funny how when OR benefits from “transfers” it is because of the incredible school system and never for athletics because most people can’t afford the “tuition”! Going to be interesting to say the least.    And if AC is turning anybody in, shame on them. They have benefited and work the system more than most over the years.
