Alcoa's only scheduled scrimmage in the spring is against Hardin Valley, so don't get too pumped just yet.

Yeah this scrimmage is not happening until August 7th. West scrimmages Morristown West on May 15th.

Should be interesting. It'll likely give us an idea of how both teams will respond this year after losing so much.

I believe I'm going to have to make that long trip from Montgomery Co to watch that scrimmage. Being retired has its advantages.

I think mo west is for real this year. Knox west lost all their stars & coach, mo west returns basically the whole team. The Smoky Bears are 2-9 all time vs knox west but the timing could not be more perfect to pick up a win for the Bears.

Actually West played much better this game as compaired to last years 1st scrimmage where they had several turnovers.  The new coach is passionate and once the guys get the new offence worked out things should improve.   Mo West has a really strong running back that showed West needs to work on tackling among other things.  Overall it was a decent first scrimmage I thought.  Still lots of work to do.

I agree West played a lot better this year than last year in terms of scrimmages. I thought West moved the ball pretty well on them and other than some tackling issues played them even. West even had a pick 6 on them.

 

Let's be honest we lost some major guys but they have some young rising sophs and juniors that are ready to make a name for them.

 

I predict a 7-3 record...Go Rebels!
