Alabama and Mississippi do it right the way they p[lay 3 game series...Tennessee is the most backwards state when it comes to baseball state tournament

It'd be a heckuva travel issue for some districts to play 3 game sets. It works in places like Rutherford and Williamson Counties because of the proximity of schools. Look at schools like Lawrence Co. or Hardin Co. that have to travel over an hour and a half for most of their district games

I'd personally be satisfied with scrapping the district tournaments, extend regular season another week, and every team play every other district team 3 times.  Top 4 from each district go to a 8 team region tournament, region winner goes to state.

Going to have to have more than 1 arm to win that too.

Trenton Peabody Pitched a player tonight in a lose.   155 pitches in 9 innings.  Crazy

I would probably need to know more before I could make a judgement. Has he thrown any in the past few days, does he has a violent delivery, etc. It does seem a little excessive, but I would need more info.

I say charge the coach with Child Abuse.

If this were a continual thing where he basically roasted kids arms constantly, I would probably question him being in the position he is, but charging a coach with child abuse seems a little much, especially if there is no track record of throwing kids too much.

I don't have enough info on the situation.

I think like the concussion learning curve, there will be one concerning the number of UCL tears in younger and younger players.  The net result is going to be restrictions at every level of play.  I'm a rub some dirt on it kind of guy too, but after seeing a couple of 14 year olds and several in the high school age group have Tommy John surgery I don't think we can continue on with a head in the sand sort of approach.

I wouldn't put these things just on the high school coach either.  Some of these kids are playing 100 games between high school, summer team and fall ball.  Some of these guys are pitching without restrictions and without much of a break and they're doing that from very young ages all the way through high school.  The arms are made the same as they were back in the day, we just didn't expose them to so many pitches.  If a kid can pitch year round, he better have stellar mechanics, a sound conditioning program and somebody looking out for him if he wants to stay healthy throughout his career.  Same could be said for catchers.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
