After watching spring practices and the scrimmages against Ravenwood and Wilson Central, I can say the Blaze will have a pretty solid team We certainly have work to do, but they are pretty deep in talent and very young. The upcoming sophomores should make a nice impact hoping to finish near the top again . Kuddos to Coach Watson on a good start as well as some really nice hires.

Scores for both scrimmages?

Who's QB?

How was the offensive line?

The eekeed out 4/3 win agaiinst Ravenwood and a 9/2 win over Wilson Central

Currently they have 3 real candidates at qb  with Miller Armstrong, Conor Mitchell and a Sophomore transfer from Stewarts Creek

The O line has gotten better every week, and one of the hires they made was the o-line coach from Oakland and the d-back/receiver coach from Oakland as well

Thank you.

Ravenwood sounds like they'll be solid again; Hester has done a great job. Is Wilson Central awful?

Armstrong was the back up last year, iirc? I think he'll be fine. Obviously nothing like Jennings, but he's a once in every 10-15 years player.

And that's good to hear. Is the name Oliver? And Watson obviously will make that unit better.

Yes Coach Oliver was one of the hires . I don't know if Wilson Central was awful , but Ravenwood was our first scrimmage and we were their 3rd, while Wilson Central was our 2nd. Ravenwood looked pretty solid, but it also looked like we just were flat. Armstrong continues to improve with more reps in the passing game.  We have some real speed in the backfield with 3 or 4 players that can take it the distance in a heartbeat. They are the kind of runners who will run over you, but you have to catch them first. Master Teague, Amari Burks and Taeler Dowdy.
