Pre-season Poll: Class 1A Region 5

Pick the top team for the region in 2015 and let us know in your posts which other teams may contend.

 

Each week I will add two more regions in classes 1-5 and one more in Class 6AAA.

I'd like to see Jo Byrns get that #2 spot. Always enjoy watching tough kids play ball. They looking good this year?

Didn't get to see the boys in spring games but heard there is potential to have a pretty decent yr,,, line play will be the strong point along with a returning QB always helps,, as Roy says gotta find a pass catcher or two,,, have some experience at rb in which got to play quiet a bit las yr,, the incoming fr and the soph to be this fall will be the group to keep an eye on in the nx cpl yrs,, this group got some players ! And I won't be surprised if we have a fr lineman taking a sr's starting position,, kid gunna be a special one to watch mature as a FB player ! Great size, strength, outstanding DE technique, kid pocesses all the tools to be the best lineman ever at JB, and that's not only my opinion, several others have noticed ! Kid is bout 6'2 225 legit fr,,guess I'll have to wait til fall scrimmages to give an honest opinion on how the Devils will do..NC will be cream of the crop in this region !

Nothing in this region is fairly easy. Games or travel.

Your enthusiasm just got me ready to pad up! But I'll probably dislocate my shoulder trying to do that. Glad to hear they are on the right track. Seems like I remember a few good athletes at wideout last year. Guess those boys are gone. Well good luck this season. Give NCS heck!

Ut umm........Dave, you really shouldn't post on days you are off your meds. A 7-3 TC team, will not win this region. Apparently you didn't see the 800 lb. guerrilla in the list of teams. That  800 lb. guerrilla can be found at 7555 Sawyer Brown Road in Western Davidson County.

nothings gonna be easy against ncs.......them boys can play some ball.....they will miss givens some but not that much imo......i dont remember did the big nose tackle play both sides of  the ball

I believe NCS and TC takes the top two spots. The next two playoff spots will be an absolute dog fight. Only PC will be overmatched in the region games they play this year, the other region games will be good ones to watch. I expect a few shockers and surprises this year.
