Hillsboro-had a better season than some thought including myself after a state final appearance the previous year. They won the region but will have a tough time defending the crown losing several main contributors this season in the skill department.

Hendersonville-loses several solid role players in the skill positions but returns Carter and Hughes to build around. Several return on the defense. Outlook about the same as usual, replace and reload.

Beech loses several key guys at the skill positions and line. They will have to build around the returning QB who did a real good job this year. Outlook is a tough rebuilding year but never count out Crabtree.

Came Ridge returns almost everyone with minimal loses. They had a strong run and I think it gets even stronger next year. Lots of speed and experience. Definitely gunning for the region title next year.

Station Camp returns a good experienced backfield. Lots of playmakers and some linemen. They should pose a threat to anyone they play next year. I see them moving up in the region standing next year and a playoff team.

Gallatin returns arguably the best skill player in the region in Mason but needs people to step up at other spots. Junior laden team this past year should be better but still some question marks.

Hunters Lane under McPhail will get better. They played a lot of young guys but depth is a problem. It will be a slow process but should see those big scores come down some.

Glencliff loses their best player. Just not a lot to build on and playing in a tough region constantly hurts any effort. I see a last place finish again.

Good accurate post Gwave1. Best 5-A region in the state next year overall. Hville returns 9 starters on D (must replace Towe and Billingsley at the safeties) . They return 5 starters on O and must replace 4 from the O line and Harris and Towe in the backfield. A lot of skill position talent will be there with Carter, Hughes, Amis, Small, and Coker returning. I can see several sophs getting major playing time if they are ready (Halas, Waters, Kincaid, Hamblen). 1-6 the region will be very tough.

no doubt we will be fine on defense but for the first time the offense is where the question lays. I feel comfortable with coker at qb. If he grows a couple inches we're looking at a good sized qb. And hughes and carter are only getting better. Too early to make predictions though. Will be interesting.

I thought by now you guys would stop underestimating Hillsboro.. They lost some skill guys but do you think skill guys are a problem over there?? I think they will be right back in the thick of things..

#6 Javonta Payton

#57 Ben Hutch multiple SEC offers

#2 Javonta Wiggins

3 returning OL starters.. Athletes there are plentiful. The big question is if Clayton decides to keep coaching or not..That will determine a lot

Thanks i'll go back and look at the film and look for these guys. Will the Qb or the rb's be back? Which D linemen will be back?

I know experience is. This years team was a far cry from the previous year and I see that decline continuing. Maybe even more so. Lots of experience returning to several teams this coming up year. I guess we will all see.

But they still won the district, destroyed Beech 42-7, advanced to the Quarterfinals & gave one of the top 5 teams in the state all they wanted and had chances to win before losing 28-20.. As long as Clayton and that staff is in place, they will be s playoff team every year.

There are several teams in this region that are capable next year of giving them every thing they can handle. I agree with Wave88. Cane Ridge is the front runner for the region title next year. Hillsboro is in the mix but there is a lot to replace.
