How do you add pictures to CoachT using the mobile version on your phone? Maybe SouthTowner can tell me. He is pretty knowledgeable with that stuff. I can go at it from a coding standpoint, but I wish it was a one click button kind of deal. I sometimes forget a bracket here or there and it won't work. I don't know Mathis I just know that he is the coach that supposedly bought land in Jasper highlands and was planning on starting the construction of his house soon. He is CRR BFF so who knows. Coaches tend to follow each other but I don't see how he could help him as a DC. I've just heard that the players like him, but also heard that if he leaves then regardless of talent it's gonna be rough

history says in order to have stability one needs someone with roots here in the area- meaning there hometown is from Bridgeport to Chattanooga- As soon as the right position opens at Mcallie Mathis who seems like a good choice today will be gone again leaving the young men in a coaching scramble. Just my opinion-

No he was visiting LW house before we went to NJ not when he was at NJ.

I am not bashing coach at all. I wish him luck. He let LW come back but made him work for everything he got. Made him a much better player. Coach Ross will do great at mccallie.

This job will create a lot of interest statewide as well as some with local ties. It will be interesting to watch it unfold.

Either way I suspect Mathis to do 1 of 2 things.

 

1) become head coach at MC and get some experience then when Potter retires and ROSS becomes McCallie HC, he will hire Mathis as his OC/AHC

2) stay as OC until a job comes open at Mccallie, then Ross helps him get hired on there

I agree with you. They are friends so I look for him to eventually join him at McCallie. ChickenDave said it right about this job. They need someone that is from the tristate area that maybe has local appeal and will stay for a long while. They need stability for their future. The article says 10 coaches in 20 years. They need someone that will stay 10-20 years.
